NEWS ALERT: MyFitnessPal hacked – 150 million user details stolen

Personal details of about 150 million users of the MyFitnessPal app have been compromised in what is one of the biggest hacks in recent times. The parent company of MyFitnessPal, US sportswear brand Under Armour, said user names, email addresses and scrambled passwords were among the stolen data. It added that payment card data was not affected.

It has emerged that Facebook’s wide scale violation of user’s privacy on an unprecedented scale has also now extended to Android users. If the Facebook Messenger app is installed on your Android device, there are chances that Facebook has been collecting contacts, SMS and call history data until at least late last year.
